The Rooppur NPP will comprise two VVER-1200 reactors with a total capacity of 2 400 MW.

Unit 1 is scheduled for completion in 2024 and Unit 2 in 2025.

Latest Developments
News agency World Nuclear News has reported that the project has taken a "fresh step" towards starting up, after the successful completion of boron flushing of the NPP’s first unit's primary circuit piping systems.

Boron flushes are a crucial technological step preceding the loading of nuclear fuel into the reactor core and the subsequent physical startup of the power unit.

Key Contracts, Suppliers and Consultants
Various divisions of Rosatom are in charge of manufacturing reactor vessels, steam generators, pumps, heat-exchangers and other equipment.
